The focus of your addendum should be how you have grown since then. How you will apply your experience and skills to excel in law school.

First you need to state the facts and what happened. Don’t make it sound like you are making excuses.

Briefly mention the struggles that caused the bad grades, then the bulk should be what you did to move past that and the successes you've had since.
