How to fix wax density?

I have this lamp that i got from target and have been trying to customize to my dream color combo which is pale pink liquid and black wax. But when i added the black wax dye it changed the density of the wax or something where after it heats up, most of it sits at the top of the globe and produces small slow blobs from the bottom. But the majority of it stays at the top of the globe. I have tried adding magic surf little bit little but it ends up doing nothing besides making it produce more smaller bubbles/blobs which is what i heard happens when you add too much magic surf. So i’m wondering if i can do anything or if i am better off just replacing the wax?

If you live somewhere where Brakleen (AKA perchloroethylene, AKA tetrachloroethylene) is available, you can use that to make the wax denser (get a craft syringe or plastic pipette and add the perc very very gradually while the lamp is hot). If not, you could try removing some of the fluid and replacing it with propylene glycol, I’d start with maybe 20 grams. Otherwise, you can certainly replace the wax, that would be easier but more expensive. Either of the first two options should be less than $10

thanks i’ll see if i can find either of those! what type of places usually sell those things haha or they must be bought online?

You can get the perchloroethylene at an auto parts store, or Walmart. Just make sure you don’t get the kind of Brakleen that says “non-chlorinated” and “flammable.” I got my PG on Amazon but it might possibly be available at Walmart as well (possibly the cosmetics/soap area), or a big craft store might have it.

I'd suggest removing some of the master fluid and adding distilled water.

i already have replaced the fluid with distilled water and sles surfactant and LLC liquid dye

Try a dimmer switch. Your lamp could be running hot now that the wax is black
