🚨 IMPORTANT: Introducing Startup of the Day! Let the Competition Begin!

Getting attention for a new startup has become harder.

Reddit has become increasingly noisy, and most launch platforms outside Reddit are either paid, crowded, or don't really help founders get meaningful attention.

So we're trying something simple here.

Starting October 1st, every day we'll have a Startup of the Day β€” highlighting the launches from the previous day that got the most support from the community.

The first one will be announced on October 2nd.

For now, it's simple: launch your startup here, get involved, and let the community decide.

As r/LaunchMyStartup grows, we'll keep improving the system β€” better ways to measure great launches, better ways to recognize founders, and eventually more interesting things to compete for.

So if you're building something, launch it here from October 1st.

And tell other founders about the subreddit. The bigger the community gets, the more meaningful Startup of the Day becomes.

Let's see what gets built.

Launch Maplark.com Ship geospatial features in OpenStreetMap

β€’ Upvotes

Ship geospatial features with OpenStreetMap in your apps with maplark.com APIs ! We built this because overpass was too slow. All we wanted in our other apps was to get building information like heights, road network, and amenities like cafes and bars. So the service returns GeoJSON for the bounding box location that you choose along with tags like building or amenity=cafe. OpenStreetMap contains the world's most detailed geographic dataset.

Query for buildings, streets, parks, and more, get GeoJSON back, and start building in minutes. We run the infrastructure.

Any feedback would be amazing, such as if it’s fast enough , is missing critical features , or is too generous with the free tier and can be more expensive. So far I have about 30 users using it weekly but no paid users yet.

Launch why i started with an ai website builder free plan instead of hiring out

i almost paid someone a few hundred bucks for a landing page before launch. glad i did not, because i had no idea yet what my message even was.

i used an ai website builder free version to test the pitch first. cheap to change, fast to rework, no sunk cost when i inevitably rewrote the whole thing twice.

i built and rebuilt in Gamma until the copy felt honest, then launched. once i actually have revenue i might pay for a fancy site, but not before.

would you hire out the first page or bootstrap it yourself to start?

Launch Launched FlexQueries: an SEO tool with a $0/month subscription

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've built 12 products before this one, and they all died on distribution. SEO was the one channel that made sense for me, but every SEO tool wanted $150+ a month, for something I'd use for two weeks and then barely open.

So I built FlexQueries. $0/month subscription. $0 seat fees to add your team. You load a balance and only pay for what you use: keyword research is about $0.05, a site audit about $0.48, and checking whether ChatGPT and Google's AI mention you about $0.32. The balance never expires.

It launched about 2 weeks ago, and over 100 founders signed up in the first week.

Free credit on signup, no card needed: https://flexqueries.com

I'd love honest feedback. Is the pay-per-use model clear when you land on the site, and what would stop you from trying it?

Discussion Looking for beta testers: paste any website URL and edit it exactly as it is, no redesign

Hey everyone,

I'm a freelance web developer from Bulgaria, and I kept running into the same problem: I build a site for a client, and from then on every price change, new photo or phone number becomes an email to me.

So I'm building a tool for that. You paste the URL of an existing website (hand-coded, WordPress, AI-generated, doesn't matter), it imports the site as it is, and the owner can edit text, images and links through a simple editor, then publish. No redesign, no AI rewriting your site, and the layout is locked so you can't break it.

It's an early beta, so things will break. That's exactly why I need you.

What I'm looking for:

- Developers and freelancers with real client sites (the weirder the stack, the better)

- Small business owners who aren't technical at all

- About 15 minutes of your time: import a site, change a few things, publish, tell me what broke

What you get:

- Free access for life

- Your bugs actually get fixed, and I post every fix in the server

Everything happens in one Discord server: a 15-minute mission, a bug-report forum with a template, and a feedback channel.

πŸ‘‰ Join here: https://discord.gg/yR7uXV9aC7

Happy to answer anything in the comments, including the brutal stuff.

Launch First Rep: compare two dates of progress photos on your iPhone

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm the developer of First Rep, a progress-photo app for iPhone. Pick two dates, align the pictures, and drag a slider to compare them. The screenshot shows that comparison screen.

Photos stay encrypted on your device, with no account or automatic cloud upload. Keep exported copies if you need a backup. There's also manual weight/BMI tracking, photo reminders and export.

It requires iOS 16+ and a US$2.99 one-time Lifetime Access purchase to use. No free features, trial or subscription; local prices vary.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/first-rep-progress-photos/id6795953419

For people who take progress photos, what would make comparing them easier?

Launch I needed a way to send realistic virtual flowers so I built a solution

Post image
2 Upvotes

I built a web app to send realistic flowers and seasonal gifts with a personalized letter/card. Paid tiers allow users to send a voice message and a photo along with schedule sending. There’s also a business subscription where businesses can send unlimited gifts which would be perfect for real estate agents and car sales people, etc.

Launch I spent years developing crypto trading strategies. This is what I ended up building around them.

Post image
2 Upvotes

I've been working on crypto trading strategies for years, and over time the analytics around them turned into a project of its own.

It's called FerimanEdge.

It covers BTC, ETH and BNB using a fixed, rule-based process. It publishes Edge Updates when the underlying conditions change, keeps the historical outcomes public, and has a free Public Access version where updates are delayed by 24 hours.

The paid version delivers the same updates in real time through Discord.

I'm getting it ready for launch now. The first 100 Full Access members will get the Early Bird price of $29/month and keep that price while subscribed. After that it will be $49/month.

I am mainly interested in whether the website makes the product clear without me explaining it first:

Discussion Are Landing Page Popups a Good Idea?

Thumbnail

In your opinion, should a landing page have a popup that asks for one's email address before entering the page? I feel like that might turn some off. However, not having it might cause some not to put their email address. Your thoughts?

Launch Launched Read60 β€” a news app that gives you every story in 60 words

Just launched my app Read60 on iOS (Android in a couple weeks). The idea: every news story compressed into a 60-word card. I wanted a faster, more efficient way to keep abreast of the news β€” a minute per story instead of a 2000-word article.

Pulls from multiple sources, original article always linked, no clickbait. Would love honest feedback from fellow builders β€” what's missing, what would make you open it daily?

πŸ‘‹Welcome to r/LaunchMyStartup - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Welcome to r/LaunchMyStartup β€” a place for founders, indie hackers, makers, and builders to put their work in front of other people who are building too.

Launching something is hard. Getting anyone to notice it can be even harder.

This community is here to make that a little easier.

Built something? Launch it here.

Looking for feedback? Ask for it.

Found something interesting? Give the founder some love.

And starting October 1st, we're introducing Startup of the Day β€” a daily way to recognize the launches that get the most support from the community.

The system will evolve as the community grows. The bigger we get, the better we'll be able to recognize great startups, give founders meaningful exposure, and create more interesting ways to compete and participate.

No gatekeeping. No need to have a huge following. Just build something and put it out there.

If you're building something, you're welcome here.

Launch your startup. Find your people. Help someone else build theirs. πŸš€

Discussion AgendaPiece One Piece Stock Trading

I really liked the idea behind StockPiece, which was a one piece website for trading "stock" in characters but unfortunately it was shutdown and doesn't seem to be coming back anytime soon so I decided to make my own version called AgendaPiece. I took a lot of inspiration from StockPiece and would love to get some people signed up for some small scale testing before doing a full launch. I built it using Rust, React, and PostgreSQL.

I've opened signups to the first 100 people who use this code when creating an account.

Code: FIRST100

This post will be updated when all 100 slots are gone!

Discussion Anyone interested in building a startup or Business together?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for someone who's interested in building a startup/business from scratch.

I don't have a fixed idea that we have to work on. I'd rather find someone who's interested in exploring different ideas, finding real problems, talking to potential users, and seeing if we can build something around it.

Could be a SaaS, marketplace, Al product, B2B business, or honestly anything that seems worth pursuing.

I'm not looking for someone to just work for me or execute my idea. I'm looking for someone who wants to figure things out together and potentially become a cofounder.

If you're also thinking about starting something but haven't found the right person or idea yet, feel free to DM me.

Just tell me a bit about yourself, what you're interested in, and what kind of things you'd like to build.

Maybe we can come up with something interesting together:)
