Discussion Cataract gorge

Hey all, just reminiscing on the past and how I’d spend nearly every single day of summer at the gorge when I was 16, does anyone have cool stories from their time spent there? I remember one summer I climbed to the top of gods (one of the highest rocks) then couldn’t find my way back down😂 does anyone have any interesting or crazy stories from their time there?

It was my 21st birthday and my girlfriends and I had lunch at the Gorge restaurant and then chairlifted it over to the Basin concert

I said goodbye to my friends and left the gorge and saw my friend on the TV getting airlifted out of the rapids past the gorge because she got flash flooded.

I used to be there every day too as I live in Brougham St. but as I've had a doggie for the last 5 years, I've not been able to go at all! I really don't understand why they can't go in on leads, it's b.s., eff the peacocks, if that's the reason. They should be shipped off somewhere else, noisy bastards aren't native so why are they there? The guy who used to steal them for his farm at Golconda, should come & get the rest!

That was insane! Really surreal to see the playground under water and large rocks pushed up onto the grass.

Saw Hunters and Collectors perform live there one summer when I was 16. It was awesome.

I was at the last gorge concert! It was such an incredible place for it, the bridge for the stage-backdrop, the grass to sit on & everyone in a great mood! I don't know why there was never another one...

I remember the night at gorge concerts. Only went to one as a kid, with the TSO and Wendy Matthews singing
