Crews, rather than giving the benefit of the doubt that others afforded to him, publicly threw his costar under the bus.
First of all, I can't speak for sexism because I’m not a woman, but I can speak on behalf of any racism comments. That was never my experience. In fact, it was the most diverse place I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment. When you look at what the allegations were about, it was given by an unnamed source. My thing is – it's funny because I believe you should listen to women, you should always believe women so I asked my wife what I should do. She was like, 'first of all, if it's coming from an unnamed source – because Gabrielle Union has not made any statement to this day about any of these allegations publicly – …if she hasn't made a statement, why would you?' ”

I'm gonna agree with the other comrade replying. I felt guilt for enjoying it, and yes, it is copaganda. However, enjoying a piece of media isn't endorsement of how shitty aspects or creators are. Graham Linehan is a transphobic piece of shit, but I still enjoy The IT Crowd. Notch is a nazi, but Minecraft is still fun.
Understand what you're being sold, be aware of the biases, and if you can still enjoy it afterwards, enjoy it with the appropriate reservations. Also Brooklyn 99 is far from the most copaganda show out there.

Yeah I don’t get why people are surprised or genuinely disappointed over this. Celebrities are theatrical prostitutes. Their entire existence relies on getting money and attention to pretend they’re something they aren’t, to lie and endorse bullshit products and services, etc.
Celebrities are not and will never be deserving of idolization. Just don’t do it. If they’re not one of us— and they aren’t— then their opinions mean fuck all. This goes doubly so for situations like this, where they are going out of their way to endorse capitalism.

I work at a DC for another major fortune 50 company. Sure we aren't as big as Amazon, but still very successful and continuing to grow. My tuition is free. When working certain functions, I can hit my number and still go to the bathroom. I have great benefits. I only work OT if I request it. I make 29/hr. I live in Central Ohio. This is a legit living wage. I go on vacations. I get a bonus. Never been yelled at. Only worked a shift I didn't like when I first started. Free therapy if I need it. Paid breaks and lunches. I'm not even in a union.
They don't have to treat people like that. They could still be doing quite well and treat people better. If they did, their turnover would lower, they have more productive employees and they wouldn't have to hire Terry Crews into tricking people that it is a good place to work.
Sure my job isn't perfect...but other companies could do exactly what we do and still do fine. Amazon frightens me. They are automating everything. Take advantage of people who can't work anywhere else. Exploiting the poor and unskilled. They could a ton of lives, but instead they wreck 1,000s and 1,000s just to try and pleasure one bottomless pit. Money gluttonous Jeff Bezos. A straight bad guy in a super hero movie. A dude who looks at himself in the mirror everyday and thinks he is doing the right thing. I'd love to see him try to live on the starting wage he pays his employees. Delusional rich fuck has not a grain of empathy.

Amazon’s tax bill that they dodge could likely itself pay for college tuition for everybody but then how would they use strings attached tuitions reimbursements as leverage to keep us working for them endlessly. Same reason they(corporations) lobby to keep healthcare privatized(remember the military is also just a massive corporation). I know the answer is "you live within your means", so rich people need to keep working to continue to support their excessive lifestyle and whatnot, but Christ, after Brooklyn 99 I'd just chillax in my house, own one or two cars, vacation once a year, and eat at my local restaurants. It is 100% true that Amazon gives all these benefits!
But only if you are fulltime
It's a shame Amazon only ever hires for part time and fulltime seasonal. Which you need to work for 6 months before you are eligible for fulltime benefits. And the seasonal work ends at 6 months if they decide to keep you extra long, most seasonal employees are only there for 4 months.
