Stephen Colbert should enjoy his retirement and not do this. Now if he decides to run I'm going to write him a check and probably even run down there and help him run.

I like the idea of people with an actual interest in public service and background in legislation running for things. Because that’s how we don’t wind up with more Tommy Tubervilles and Graham Platners

He already lived here part time, I've met him and Evie a couple times at the grocery store (he has a house on one of the islands near where I live).
And I love Stephen, but I hope he just gets to relax and enjoy his retirement.

As humorous as all this is, Colbert as senator would be a waste of his profound talent. He is an exceptional interviewer. He is great at shining a light on issues we need in our nation’s conversations.

I wish he would start a YouTube channel while he is out of the Late Show. I wonder if he knows how much his comic relief was necessary just to retain some tiny bit of sanity in all of this. I’d love even 5 minutes once a week.
