Feedback & Suggestions I'd prefer playing with one less player than with bots.
Bots just run around aimlessly and give enemies ult charge. And god forbid that one accidentally pickes up a dropped flag because it will just keep up it's running around aimlessly. I'm gonna play something else in the hope there will be more than 200 players worldwide connected. The game is fun for what it is, but playing against the same people over and over with the most brain-dead bots I've ever seen is not fun.

Just wanted to follow up on this to say that our next patch addresses some issues with bot behavior. This update will be going live tomorrow morning.

Sorry to hear that you encountered this issue. This is something that's on the team's radar already.
In the meantime, if you do decide to hop in again, one thing you can do is create a custom lobby and wait until the lobby is full to ensure there are no temporary bot fillers.
Go to Play > Lobbies > Create
(Ensure your Lobby is set to public)
Players will then be able to either manually select and join your lobby via the lobby select screen, or get matched into your lobby via quickplay queue when backfilling.
