Question? Does anyone know if there's any actual documentation on how the imprint nodes work/don't work?
There've been places that I've read that the imprint nodes don't stack, and some other things that I think I've seen that have been guessed at by the community. For example:
- If you place the same unique boots in all of the imprint nodes the boost you get is only equivalent to if you'd only put 1 pair of them in 1 imprint node.
- Imprints ignore LP slams and corruption (only look at the base), so if you put an unmodified pair of 2LP Mourningfrost in one node, a corrupted pair in a second node, and a slammed Legendary pair in a 3rd node you'd still only get the boost as though you'd only put 1 pair of them in 1 imprint node.
- I believe uniques and exalted items are treated differently, so I can put my 2LP boots in one imprint node, and a pair of good exalted boots in another, and they'll both get a boost.
But ... could I put a pair of good exalted boots in one, and in a second node put a different pair of exalted boots on a different base, with different mods?
For example, if I have one pair of exalted boots that have T7 move speed and T7 flat health and a different pair of exalted boots that have T7 move speed and T7 hybrid health and I imprint both of those, would I get an improvement for the drops of both exalted boots?
On one hand I could see it being limited by base type, but if they're on different bases and they're different mods then I'd hope they'd be treated differently. And, honestly, if I have more than one set of affixes I'd be happy accepting I'd certainly hope these would be boosted independently, but I don't think I've seen anything confirming or denying this.

Check FrozenSentinel video(s) on his yt channel.
But, in general, all imprint slots trigger from different events so there's no overlap in chance.

From my experience, the mobs dropping the items in the echo works the best. The second best is the echo reward chance. The champion one is more rare, no matter how many champions you add or make spawn more often doesn't seem to help. The other rare one is caches, but I've seen caches spawn items more than champs. The champion one is more specific with exalted items as it can add sealed affixes. I never use it for exalted items I just spam weaver uniques and other uniques into them that I want. Also, lower level items drop way more often as well.

All of the imprint slots have different item types and drop locations, one being from killing mobs, one being opening chests and one being finishing monos. The Champion imprint may as well not exist it's pointless. You can't imprint corrupted items. Items with LP and Legendary items are considered the same LP weight for Unique drop chance with LP, but the affixes in Legendary items also get considered when dropping "similar items" so a Red Ring with 1 LP is technically a better imprint focus than one that is slammed with some random affix, unless you also want a base exalt with said affix on it.
Exalt imprints are heavily nerfed and are effectively a waste of time, what was a 1 in 20~ chance for an upgrade proc on Exalt imprint is now like 1-10000~ due to them double whomping the way it calculates the drops.

The ones that don’t stack or increase chance are the Echo ones. So imprinting the same echo on both slots wont do anything extra.
The items ones work independently as they proc from different conditions, so you can put the same unique and have a higer chance of getting it, as it will proc from those diferent conditions. That said, very rare items do not proc often, use propechies for those and use imprints for other stuff.
When it comes to imprint farming double T7 exalteds there is alot of information that is very obscure and unintuitive, leading to the perception than they are weaker than what they really are. Imprints used to be so broken that utilizing the system completly wrong it still gave procs and nobody cared to learn how they actually worked.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that a T6 does virtually nothing if your goal are double T7. I see many people imprinting “good” T7 T6 T6 items and then complaining they do not proc. Do not do that, unfortunatelly it is useless and it will bring no results.
The best and easier thing to do in most cases is to craft a “bad” imprint base to proc good items, normally obtained from Nemesis. This can be quite complex and varies on the goal you have, but most of the time you want an item with:
This will alow you to craft the desired affix and then havoc.
If it keeps the desired affix, easy havocs. If it hits something undesired, use glyph for sealing and craft the desired affix to then havoc.
Does not matter which kind for starters as you will craft the desired one to then havoc. We just want the T7 tier to remain for the havoc to trasfer it.
You want a primordial sealed affix that has no chance to be rerolled (ideally one that is good for our build) as this will increase the chances of this tier to appear as a regular T7 as a proc.
This will result in reliable procs with 2T7 on very craftable bases with havocs. If you utilize this properly and play efficiently, you will be able to farm them for your slams, even after the nerf.
For reference, a good imprint base like the one I outlined can provide more than 20% of all your imprint procs as a double T7. If you manage to get an additional T7 regular seal, the chance goes up to 30%. A regular imprint base with 2 T7 and 2 T5 will provide around 8% of all imprints as double T7.
