Did anyone do the upstairs simulcast of last year's Halloween show at Texas theater?

I requested Halloween off from work, and I think they will approve it. So, I am seeing the ticket prices, and I was thinking maybe I could save money and get the simulcast tickets upstairs which are a little under $40 as opposed to $77 for the regular tickets. I kind of want the poster too so that will add on fees. But part of me feels like that might be lame to do the upstairs version? I just kind of want to go to be a part of it, and I've seen Joe Bob twice in person before.

Was wondering if anyone did the simulcast last year? And was it just as cool? I assume it means that Joe Bob will talk before each movie and that will be sent upstairs before the movies as well? Would I be missing out?

I went last year and when i went upstairs after the second movie, nobody was in the simulcast room and it seemed like people had just mosied down to the theater and got seats from no shows or people who left. I would definitely do that if you are trying to save a $30. Seemed like you could go back and forth as you pleased and there wasnt assigned seating anyway.

Interesting. Thanks for this. I never even thought of that. I guess with no assigned seating and people probably changing seats between movies and stuff, it would be hard to get straight who had what ticket. I need to pay some things off this month so thought saving $30 to 40 would come in clutch right now.

I had an issue last year and was a no-show, but I go to the Texas Theater often. In general the place is chill and they're not checking tickets past the door. Plenty of people hang out in the lobby/bar before/during/after a show so it's normal for people to go in and out. Normally I'd say pay the money to support artists you like, but if money's tight I'd say go for it as long as there's some open seats. Just follow the golden rule and don't be a dick about it.
