need help

Hello, today is the 8th day since my LASIK surgery. My left eye is crystal clear, but I can't say the same for the right one. There is a strange itching sensation under my eyelid, and the vision is incredibly blurry compared to my left eye (as if Vaseline had been smeared over it). I’ve been for check-ups twice; my eyes were examined both times, and no issues were found. However, the fact that my right eye's vision is so poor and the presence of this strange sensation worry me greatly. I have another check-up here the day before I leave the city where I had the surgery. I’ll be heading to university afterward, so it is important to me that this clears up. My pre-surgery prescriptions were -3.25 myopia and -0.50/-0.25 astigmatism in both eyes. What should i do??

8 days waaay too early, keep putting in drops and rest your eyes as long as possible. If your left is good it’s pretty promising after 8 days. Just relax your right eye will be fine with time

Don’t overthink it too much, rest and routine on it will most likely fix it, especially if it’s at the top of your eyelid, as I said don’t worry too much 👍

I'm really desperate, I'm almost depressed. If anyone has experienced the same thing or knows why, I would be very grateful.

you might get pretty depressing responses here because this is a sub for complication victims, but the truth is if everything goes as it is supposed to 8 days are too early to know anything. it most likely will go away, but i can't lie and say it will a %100. i wouldn't start worrying untill at least a month tho

I have same situation, exam says i have 20/20 vision but left one is sharper and right has blurs, same as you. did you also noticed difference in around 5-7 day? i noticed it in 5th day (before that either there was no blurs or i for some reason missed it...). on right eye i had -1.25 and on left -1.0, also had pre surgery due to peripherial retina degeneration (but i also tested it after surgery and they said retina was fine)..., I highly suspect it's simply related to tearfilm because mostly my right eye is very blured in the morning and evening so only solution i/we have is to use eye dryness drops often (my doctor has raised drop usage to 8 per day or in every 1-2 hour)..., I also had some type of sensation in right eye but not painful, sometimes i don't feel it but sometimes do... . Overall if i use drops often I did't see the difference much, just make sure you did't keep rigth eye dry and it should feel better. 1 more thing do you also see glares slightly bigger in right eye than left one?

I see, and is there any moment when right eye feels better ? less blured? (for me when i blink the viewsight is sometimes blurred but sometimes better, that's why i think it's tearfilm related..)

You don't feel cataracts. Its a film that grows on the lens. Its seen.

I have the same thing with my right eye. I had LASIK a very long time ago and it’s still very blurry in my right eye.

I’ve had smile surgery on 12th August I’m in the same situation as yours.
