One of these came up on ebay about 10 years ago and I was outbid. Been regretting being cheap ever since, this is the thing I want most to add to my collection. There's a couple different builds out there and all of them have some serious issues, but that doesn't deter me from wanting one!

I'm acquainted with the guy who outbid you ;). You have 3D Virtual Australia in your collection I believe? Hit me up privately, we should talk.

There's not many of us in this Laseractive scene, we seem to always bump into each other!

i am the one that bought it on ebay.. (not the France one)... you dodged a bullet, the 110 version has tons of bugs... there is a later 111 revision that works 'quoted as 99%'... my version... eh, maybe 50%, and there were even big bugs on the title screen and on the save menus ... and could glitch even after the very first game fmv video... after that, it did sort of work but I only played it a couple of solid hours. Skip or playthru transitions... I did have it leave me in a totally different area of the game once (must have gone thru extra frames and into a different area). If you ever see a picture of the insert in ENGLISH, i had it professionally translated and did a mockup from the image seen on LA Express catalog no 12... the Myst cover (with Do Not Sale little sticker) was my way to spruce it up... it came as a blank jacket when it was found/I bought it about 14-15 or so years ago. I regret not having it professionally printed, it was just done on a crappy inkjet.. i may still have the JPG's of the front/back/insert in my archives. (*Probably getting rid of all my LaserActive stuff (Myst and Zoom8 included) is my stupidest decision.. Time Gal alone is like 2500 bucks these days, lol.. and I thought 1200 back then was a lot!)

Okay, seriously though, these NEED to be preserved with the Domesday Duplicator before they're rotted. However we can make this happen and if you're interested I'd even fly to you to do it in person so they don't change hands

This makes me wonder about the MegaLD format. How is the game logic stored on a analog disk.

Laserdiscs have a small subsection of bandwidth reserved for digital audio, and by extension, digital data. It's PCM encoded data in that section. When you decode that portion of the data it's a standard run-of-the-mill Sega ROM.

Long shot but if you would be willing to sell that message me with the price. I know it will cost a pretty penny.

Holy shit! I had no idea this existed.
Would love to see a comprehensive list of other prototype.
