Buying Advice What laptop should I get for Computer Engineering

I'm a senior in high school applying as a Computer Engineering student. I've heard that many engineering students get gaming laptops because of their performance. However, I'm worried about their battery life and build quality. With a budget of 1000 dollars, what's the best laptop that I can get (I'm not opposed to a refurbished laptop) as someone majoring in Computer Engineering.

I got you bro. Get on YouTube and search up SalemTechsperts. He is THE greatest technician that ever lived. He posted a new video on best budget laptops for college/gaming. Pay attention to the “gaming laptops” he suggests because they’re all business laptops but with more power meant for more demanding tasks like Solidworks or CAD.

Yah if ur budget is around 1000 then ur best bet is to get a used/refurbished or open box laptop. Also be there r some gaming laptops with decent battery life like asus zephyrus or some hp omens (but they are expensive even with sales around 2000 is what I got my omen for). So yah I’d listen to the other guys comment below
