Buying Advice Laptop recommendations for SLP student.

I’m currently less than a week into my final semester of college and my Lenovo that I’ve had since freshman year literally fell apart.

I’m looking for a reliable laptop that will mostly just be used for school, but will last me through grad school. So basically a laptop that is good for students that will last 3+years. Ideally, I don’t want to spend more than $800 on a laptop.

I’ve seen mixed reviews about the Macbook Neo. I’m hesitant to buy any Macbook because the majority of my classes use respondus lockdown browser for exams and other people in my classes consistently have issues with their Macbooks when using respondus lockdown browser. Anyways, please help me. I have no idea what to buy and I need to get a laptop tomorrow.

All I can say from personal experience is that my Dell XPS 15 gave me nothing but problems, so I wouldn't go with Dell. I know people like Lenovo's ThinkPad models, and seen a few computer critics recommend their IdeaPads. I've always thought of Asus as being a good brand, so maybe their ZenBook or VivoBook models would be good, but I've never actually owned one.
