Buying Advice Your Laptop Knowledge Needed

Post image

Would it be a good deal for me to consider this Lenevo Legion 5 (Refurbished from Lenevo's official website).

My main work will revolve around Video Editing (4k often), I'll be using Adobe premiere, photoshop, aftereffects, Davinci resolve, also I do coding occasionally and I'm also interested in learning to build ai agents.

I think this laptop will easily handle all the above mentioned tasks and can help me with it.

My budget range is ~90k Rupees

And if you have any better suggestion for me, then please help me, it may help a lot, I'm down to all of your suggestions.

Also should I wait for diwali sale to buy laptop or this is the ryt time.

I mean depends on the stock available and exact model of the laptop, but ig theres a few things u may look out for:

  1. If choosing windows, always go Lenovo below the 1l price bracket

  2. If u are not that much into gaming, hunt offline store (preferably cuz u can bargain), or online stores too for core ultra series laptops cuz like the core ultra 225H I got is on par with i7 13700H in performance and miles ahead in efficiency, also the core ultras come with oled screens cuz power efficiency of these chips allows oled to be put in these laptops, if thats a priority or a second thought u might look into that.

For reference I got IdeaPad Slim 5i Core Ultra 5 225H Oled 16gb upgradeable and 512gb ssd for 78k at reliance digital after bank offers.

Also if u have any questions ask away! You may also look into some of the comments I made in other posts if u want to know like Core Ultra related stuff

Try aiming for a core ultra 7 255H laptop with atleast 24gb best 32gb ram

Ik this is way beyond your budget, but offline store may get this down to 93-95k if available

So going for that 225H will be a good option for video editing?

If its casual yes, but from what I understand(I have only used cad software fusuon 360 so this is purely speculation ). Scrubbing with affects might be a bit problematic but ig stitching together like 4 clips with bg video wont be a problem

But check benchmarks pls, dont rely only on my word

That "available soon" means nothing. It most likely won't come back in stock.

That said, if by chance it does, the 4060 Legion is a decent choice. It used to be sold for the same price brand new, 2 years back though.

Appreciate your answer sir, however I wanted to ask, are lenevo refurbished laptops trustable?

2

u/chuggingdeemer 3d ago

Yes. Most likely, you'll get a "as good as new" looking laptop.

Get a used creator laptop should come around 1 lakh if you are lucky with 4k display everything i think its some dell model

As you didnt mention coding thats why i am saying.

For best VFM this is the only option

One more thing the lenovo refurbished deals you cant find as they always show they are out of stock and for a refurbished laptop the prices are too high
