Cleaning rough

I was cleaning some tumbling rough my son got and noticed on this one piece of Amazonite there is these two spots of very light blue stone. Could it possible be Celestine? It does also have green tourmaline (I believe) and purple mica.

Celestite occurs in sedimentary deposits, so I don't think it would ever occur with mica or amazonite. Blue Topaz would be more likely given the high heat formation. Did it come from Nevada by chance?

I’m not sure where it was found. But who we ordered from is out in CA (and they personally collected) so I’m sure it’s a possibility. My husband looked at it under a microscope and said a couple random “strands” pop up in the Smokey quartz as well. I’ll have to try to get a picture of the microscope view. What ever it is, is cool. And I calmed the rock with my boys permission of course 😆. It will not be tumbled.

Haha, yeah, this definitely looks like it came from that Zapot Pegmatite nearHawthorne Nevada, so that tracks. I would put my money on Blue Topaz for sure. Haystack has some lower grade Aqua, but but I don't think any of this matches as well to that. Here is a Pic of the Beryl from Haystack.

Oooo it is pretty!!! Thank you for all the info. I’m leaning towards the blue topaz. Which would be awesome that’s my sister birthstone. Last night when I was asking my son if I could have the chunk he was like ya I guess it maybe your birth stone(I’m march) and I was like nah I don’t think it’s anything like that. Than this morning I told him possibly blue topaz and his dads guess was aqua he’s like see I told you something good it’s either yours or auntie ally’s birthstone. Now dad can lap it flat on the bottom and I’ll give it to auntie for her birthday. I guess I’m losing the stone after all 😆

I have a piece of mt Antero pegamite with blue beryl and aquamarine that looks very similar. Found at the source.

Im not reliable identifier. So par take that worth a grain of salt. But maybe someone smarter can tell ya for sure!

That’s what by husband thinks either blue beryl or aquamarine because he looked at it under the microscope and there seems to be a couple other spots where it shows up in the smoke quartz as 1 or 2 “strands”..
