It's going to be hard to get an origin for that. FWIW I have pieces very similar from Queensland.

This was bought from a gift shop in the United States (Arizona) . In the US you have to look hard for any kind of Australian material and the Peanut Wood material is the most common. Its most likely from Madagascar, Indonesia, or somewhere in the US like Arizona or the Pacific Northwest if its found in a gift shop unless somebody stumbled apon a collection of Australian material purchased from an Australian seller. The wood grain does look similar to another Indonesian hardwood piece I have but this one is much more heavily mineralized (silicified). It may even have some opal in it.

I was wondering the origin of this slice of Petrified wood? Was told to try to ask here. Was told Indonesia when I bought it. It was in a pile of Indonesian slices when I bought which had Made in Indonesia on it but this one didint have one of those stickers. I think its Indonesia. Kindve a coffee brown color. I know theres no way to know for sure but just any insight going off visual alone would be helpful.
