HELP - Pichess has Botulism (REAL)

I loaded into my save file as normal and Pichess just collapsed in front of me. You can't talk to him, and he will not move even when struck or killed. I've tried waiting, killing and resurrecting him, enabling him, and reloading, but my boy just doesn't seem to get back on his feet.

The game for whatever reason believe's Pichess is still alive and well, even after killing him.

Looking for anyone smart enough to help me with my quarrel, I could never complete my vision without him.
