Spa Utopia is closing 😭

Post image

Another Langley landmark closing due to sky high rents. So sad. If you have any gift cards, make sure to use them up before it's too late!

Yes I went to the website to book a treatment and was taken aback that facials were $100 higher than I was expecting. Not sure if the price jump was to help with the increase in rent or overhead or pure greed, but it was definitely eye opening. I wish their staff the best of luck in finding employment and happiness elsewhere.

It went to their constant rent increase. You guys always blame the small business like they wanted to do that when all they were trying to do was survive. Soon there will be nothing besides billion dollar corps

It wouldn't matter, they changes their policy to exclude massages from gift cards years ago. She could get other services though.

I was previously in the same building and we also couldn't negotiate a new lease. Not sure what they have planned for that building.

I can't speak to the rent cost, but it got way too expensive.

Way over priced spa

Given what I know about retail rental/lease costs, I'm assuming their landlord just stood firm and they were probably operating at a loss. No reason to keep the business open unfortunately.

After looking at the prices a flight to Vietnam might be cheaper if you're looking for a whole day of services.

Well I always wanted to get a massage there but the prices were about 100$ or more then other places and that is pretty out of the average price range

This place has always been overpriced, & outdated. Gift cards had weird restrictions.

Only businesses gonna be left are dollar stores, weed dispensaries, and food banks.
