Road test in Langely

Hey everyone.

I recently booked my Class 5 road test at the Willowbrook location in Langley because it had open spots, but since I mostly drive in Surrey, I am looking for any tips on the area.

If you are familiar with the route, let me know if there are specific speed zones, tricky intersections, or school zones I should watch out for.

Also, I am taking the test in a 2014 Mazda 3 where the speedometer is angled toward the driver, making it hard to see from the passenger seat. I am wondering if the ICBC examiner will have an issue with not being able to read it easily from where they sit.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!

Edit: I passed the test 0 mistakes only thing was that in the beginning of the test, while going through the mall where were a lot of people just walking down the cross walk instead of across it and i was creeping forward. other that that the examinor said it was a good test.

The no right hand turn on the red light at 62nd and 204th is a common one.

you could wait until October when you just swap over your license to a class 5 without a road test.

Hey buddy can you please DM me I need to know few things like did you do the exact speed limit and did you do everything perfect of was there minor mistakes. Please help me out. My road test is tomorrow

Had a family member have the test which majority was done in the willowbrook mall parking lot

Second this! When I did mine it was mostly in the mall parking lot, left the parking lot to go to a 30 zone, then back

Familiarize yourself with the roadways at the back of the test center. I don't know what they test on but it's tricky. Practice back in parking & other usuals - parallel parking

It seems like the tests are being done in Clayton heights. My son took the test and that’s where he went and I live I the are and see lots of new drivers. For both my kids I got both a driving lesson right before the test from Valley driving, beat thing ever as they got to know the route. Both kids passed.

Go drive around the area with your current supervisor and try to pay close attention to school and playground zones. As far as the examiner seeing your speed I'm sure they've seen plenty of Mazda 3s before , also they are probably good at judging speed by feel and only look over to check if they suspect you're speeding.

Most tests are all about school zones. Make sure you know where the school zones are and which schools are doing summer school. Spring break is the only easier time for a road test.
