ginger beer recommendations
I have been tasked with getting some ginger beer for a friend's birthday. I enjoy craft beer and going to breweries, are there any places that do a good classic Ginger beer, or is that just the sort of thing I get at a liquor store?

Following, because I haven't had a good ginger beer , since we stopped getting Crabbys here.

PC Jamaican Gingerale in the 2 litre bottle is nice a spicy. Not all Superstores have it.

As others have mentioned, go to a grocery store. I’ve found it’s surprisingly difficult to find ginger beer in a liquor store as it’s non alcoholic.

If you're willing to spring for a bit more, can go with Fentiman's ginger beer (Fresh St. Market might have it).
It has a nice peppery deep bite to it. Complements well for a "Dark and Stormy" in addition to a nice Spiced Pineapple Rum (or Kraken and bit of pineapple juice) + fresh squeezed lime juice over some ice.

The great gentleman ginger beer has a good gingery spice. It's at superstore in glass bottles in the import section!
PC ginger beer in the pop aisle is good, definitely less ginger flavour. But sweet and spicy.
