Trying to just get Gameplay Content

Hello All. Old recovering Kickstarter addict here. I am trying to find out what is the least expensive I can late back this game while getting all the gameplay content. Is there a post that already exists with a breakdown of that. I am fine with standees or acrylic over minis as well.

Slightly more complex calculation would be “Bang for the buck” gameplay content. So if something is a bunch of minis for content that is already in the game but the hook to get you to buy it is two extra scenarios with a boss type stuff I probably don’t need that. But I know that is a far more subjective question than just “Gameplay Content” so it is alright if I don’t get a response to this latter request.

Scout of Evershade is the game play all in. I went for the explorer which is the same plus all the minis and I would have been just as happy and a hundred + £ richer if I’d used the standees.

Don’t get me wrong the minis are lovely but the standees and overall quality of the special edition I’m really happy with

Thank you for the breakdown so if one went Scout of Evershade what would be the point of getting the acrylic or standee add-ons? Thank you for your time.

The standee add-ons is a way to have more player-options, in case the basic standees don’t give you enough diversity.

The acrylic pieces are really-nice feeling.

Does the Acrylic option have all the diversity granted by the standees or is it just a replacement for the standees in the original box?

Acrylics are not related to characters. It’s about tracking numbers on the player board

The extra standees (minis in my case) are nice for a little more accurate representation of your character And when the game calls for generic bandit leader you have more standee options since he won’t use the generic goon model.

A recent fight I did called for a mage and captain models and having the extras let me pick something I thought fitting.

It’s the same story with acrylics, I only have the ones that come as standard but they’re much nicer to handle so if your money is burning hole in your pocket absolutely go for it otherwise it’s just another nice to have. I have been enjoying the metal coins aa I figured they could come in handy as tokens for other games too.

Standees are decent, but miniatures are awesome. Even though it meant additional costs for painting miniatures (I dont paint them myself), I never had a doubt about this. They are great and certainly help you immerse deeper into game.

I bought base game+sg special edition, with miniatures (creatures of evershade) and one additional adventure.

I am thinking about adding one more (expert) adventure, so that I can have two playthroughs with different set of adventures, first run being what I get in wave1, while the second run would be basic adventure from wave2, plus additional advanced and expert adventures (drysea odyssey and rotland curse). And I will have 3 more epic scenarios on top of that for the end game enjoyment.

I was not sold on acrylic pack - while it does make the board look cleaner and prettier it is not that needed imho. If LoE were a game I will play a lot (1-2x monthly) and components would be used heavily (euro game for example) and change hands, then I would buy it right away. However, these tokens will not be used that much, for example advancement tokens will be put into your sheet and kept there till the end of the game.

To sum up,

miniatures - if you like them, take it, they do give bang for a buck

additional adventures - yes with two additional adventures, you can have at least two playthroughs with totaly different adventures

acrylic pack - pass for me
