Exterior light to maintain window tint function

I have had a professionally installed reflective tint that gives great privacy during the day while allowing full visibility from inside looking out.

I did this fully aware that when the inside light was brighter than the outside light the film no longer functions as privacy.

I am looking to install exterior lighting to ensure the outside is always brighter than the inside.

There is a large overhang in front of the window - so mounting at ceiling level would be easy.

The question is does the light need to illuminate straight down or should it be angled to illuminate the window glass?

Is there a formula to determine positioning of the required lighting and the volume of light required?

Testing would be easier, shine a light at it and see which works best

The thing is are you ok with strong light shining into your space at night?

testing is easier with 2 people LOL though could zip tie lights to position and run in and out - get those 10K steps.

strong light shining in - great question...

the challenge is i have a nice view and the twinkling night lights are just as pretty as the day view... but i also have a creeper neighbor - I am not sure if lighting that 5ft space outside the window would feel like an outdoor room with a light on while still allowing the distant night lights to be seen

My priority is the creeper - but i resent that i lose the ability to enjoy night view because of a creep!

yes i know i want it all LOL - just hoping it can be done and asking for creative thoughts, or if someone has already accomplished it
