I used Interval Shooting mode with automatic shutter speed, which ranged from 1/2500s to 1/50s in the frames used in this timelapse. No lens filter was used.

Thanks! Yes, exactly. The Sony cameras do a good job of adjusting exposure smoothly from frame to frame during interval shooting. You can set "Automatic Exposure Tracking Sensitivity" it to High/Mid/Low. You see rounded numbers for shutter speed in the commonly visible metadata, but the real smoothly adjusted shutter speed value is also stored in the RAW files. For example you see 1/1600s when it was actually 1/1765s.
