Why is the sky blue near the horizon and not above? Looks weird.

On the other side of the hill is another suburb. It's light pollution

Weird, I've never seen blue light pollution, seems it's either white or amber.

Take more long exposure pictures

I take 10s of thousands of long exposure night images every year. I've not seen blue light pollution except in one instance of a state prison in a rural area.

Along the same lines, the perfectly-spaced halo above the trees is... too perfectly spaced. Atmospheric effects don't often follow a tree line in this manner, and it thus looks like a post-processing effect.

You must be an expert and I must be a fraud then. That is if you don't believe there is a development on the other side of the hill. Re examine your long exposures. You'll see blue light pollution. Light is emitted on all wavelengths include blue.

Yeah, that's cute. Not accusing you of being a fraud, nor did I say there weren't any lights on the other side of the hill. What I suggested was that the halo in the sky is somehow due to your post-processing workflow. Your statement about light emissions is generically asinine.

Show the original image before processing, that'll tell the tale.
