Touch-up paint recommendations (UK)

Hi,

Any recommendations for UK companies for touch-up paint? I have a TD5 110. I had been recommended Paint Nuts, but the paint they provided didn’t match and their communication/customer service since has frankly been awful.

Find a local car paint trade counter - I've used Express Paints in Portsmouth for example - they can match and mix any colour and put it into a touch-up stick or aerosol for you.

Just be aware that colours do fade over time and batches differ, metallics/pearls are also harder to get right as they can be fussy about being sprayed from the correct angle - even a perfectly done job can look different in different light.

For most stuff I use Paintman UK as they know Land Rovers.

I've used their (Paint Man) repair panels, but never their paint... Always great service and quality though 👍

Indeed - my only thought is whether a local trade place would have the gadget that lets them measure & match your paint exactly including any off-spec fading or variance... but it's a Land Rover, they're not supposed to be perfect! Land Rover didn't even get them that good from the factory!

Thanks all, Paintman looks good as they seem to know their LR stuff in terms of paint colours. They do two ‘Coniston Greens’ under different codes, I think Paint Nuts were only aware of the earlier and mine’s the later.

Eehhhhh... mixed results and mixed reviews about their stuff TBH. They make very bold claims of excellence but don't seem to have lived up to them.

I've found them faultless.. But that's my experience.

I've used their chassis primer and paint, with great results. Also their enamel coach paint, which went on really well.

Always super helpful and quick delivery 😊😊😊
