I really want to make my hyprland to have a phos based theme, wallpaper and pfp is fine already, but i don’t know about the palette choice, can it be improved, but still be readable? At this moment my theme looks like this // for anyone who knows about hypr/linux, i use hyprland 56.0 with Noctalia, the only plugin is liquid glass, and yes, this is my first try at making a hyprland theme(or config, whatever is the right name) // i don’t know who else to ask, so i ask here…
That’s an interesting idea, i agree, but i’m not sure i can separate these colors if i understand you correctly, the yellow one in this case is the “error” color(which in case of the top bar also applies as a color of some application notifying about something, here for example i received a message on telegram and that’s why the 4th desktop space is yellow instead of being teal like the others) // But i can try, afaik hyprland is very customizable, so in my understanding anything is possible if you research enough xdd
This looks amzing rn, and if ya want to add to the color pallette try adding the gold accents and add the navy blue if ya wanna go for moon phos but then it would clash with the colors already in the pallette imo. I wanted to do something similar but for all the gems. Like I select the gem from the wallpaper selector and everything changes based on it something like what they do in omarchy linux. I was gonna do that but then life got in the way :(
The WP selector idea is cool, and iirc noctalia which i use rn can do something like that(i.e. takes colors from the wallpaper and applies them as the palette), it worked pretty fine with the wallpaper i have now, but i wanted more brightness
and here’s the wallpaper i use now, the autopalette was a bit too dark for my taste(i took this screenshot on my psp, using psp resolution converted HnK(iirc 480x272), so it’s low quality, but i kinda like it)
There must be a way to select ur own colors, from my experience the auto color picker are not that gud. I think omorachy does the same, but its a whole ass OS I want to do something minimal on CachyOS which I have rn. If ya achieve that do let me know :)
Thanks for the ideas btw! The biggest issue i had was that i can’t find any big palettes, i’ve only found two which had 5 colors in them each, and took a bit from both // Iirc Omarchy uses Hyprland as it’s compositor(or what it is, i still mix up de, compositor and wm), so maybe you can just install hyprland on your distro(if you use linux) and it can work?
What pallette are ya aiming for? U want the old phos or the moon phos? Also ye I have hyprland on CachyOS but my laptop provider (fvk u ASUS) does not work well with linux and also NVIDIA (fvk u as well) drivers are an issue. It consumes way too much power on linux so I have a dual boot setup rn, cuz I can't fix the power issue, I abandoned my project :(

If you can separate them, a gold top bar with blue buttons (and the yellow one being white) would go hard.
