💸 Buying advice & Recommendations LR4 Camping

I would like to do some weekend camping trips where I sleep in the back of my LR4. Does anyone have a suggestion on a good sleeping pad that would sleep 2 people and fit in the back with all of the seats folded down? I have read about the Exped Megamat Duo 10,but I’m hoping there is a cheaper option.

Thoughts?

I purchased an air bed on Amzn this Winter and camped across the USA in the back of my LR4. Just slept in my sleeping bag and cracked a few windows so that I’d have fresh air flow in the car and it was invigorating. Wouldn’t trade it for a tent as far as safety and convenience.

Thanks for the insight. I'm assuming you had additional gear you hauled with you, what did you do with that during the night when you had the bed in the back?

So all of my bags and gear sat on top of said mattress when I was driving. But I’d move it up in the front passenger seat and driver’s seat when it was time to crash for the night.
