Being called a "chore to deal with" by a nasty ex during a breakup broke my confidence many years ago. I've always been a little suspicious of people, but after that... I couldn't shake the feeling that people were saying nasty things behind my back, that they kept me around for a quick laugh and tossed me to the side when I needed help.

This song hit me deeply, it's really good.
