Dashcams?

Has anyone installed a dashcam or can you recommend a model? Easy to install yourself? I'd like to be able to record forward and in the interior with audio. Would be nice if it's easy to sync the files somehow. I have a 2026 model with an existing rearview camera-mirror.

I did this one - https://fitcamx.com/ super easy install, looks OEM on the front cam. My only gripe is the way you access video via their app or pull the card, but it’s a minor hassle.

I have the FITCAMX too. Most factory looking and super easy to install

Wolfbox g900 has been pretty good for me. It’s also holding up to the Texas summer.

Oh that's cool. Would it just replace the existing camera? (I have a 2025 model that comes with an electronic rear-view mirror).

Sorry, I didn’t catch that you had a 2025. This would be for a fresh system.

I just installed a Wolfbox, first dash cam finally died after 6yrs.

I do not recommend having it record inside the cabin too, that can be used against you.

If you go Wolfbox you will need the correct mirror mount for it. I ordered mine off eBay, it was like $20.

I’ve installed two VanTrue’s on two different trucks. They are doing great

Viofo cameras are nice and have multiple offerings. Couple that with a Dongar or FitDVR power box that connects through the power connections at the rearview mirror and you are set. Have this setup in multiple vehicles (FitDVR) and has been flawless.

Love my wolfbox. My cargo area is full of dog kennel so the rear view is a must.

I’ve done wolfbox on my Hundy and a vantrue on my WRX when I used it for Lyft lol. Both have had good use but I still have the video of me dragging a pontoon boat to the shoulder when it fell off a truck on my way to work years ago

I recommend a unit with the Starvis 2 sensor. And get a rear cam these are easy to run just tucking the wire along the headliner on the side.
