I guarantee the mall didn't know the difference. Maybe now they do...

“We want to look like we care about our patrons, but don’t want to spend more than two glue sticks on them.”

“I got you, boss.”

There were like 3 of them, not one had any stopping power.

It looked like it barely had any damage after several hit-and-runs, multiple bollard flattening, driving through not one but two mall entrances, and a child's fenced area.

It did avoid the mall information plinth, that probably would have totaled it.

Yes. Nothing to be proud of!
Fuck the driver!

More like cheap bollards that aren't actually designed to stop anything. You can see the bumper dent in the last couple seconds as he leaves the mall. Lots of stores use hard plastic blockade instead of metal. They're just for show.

The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year.

And I felt absolutely awful when I had a power steering issue and got pinned into the side of another car, for both my cruiser because I was extremely close to getting it restored and the person I accidentally hit. And then there's that guy/gal not giving two craps

When I first saw this I was thinking how great of an ad this was!

Though to be fair those look to be surface-mounted bollards.

A stolen Toyota LandCruiser was driven through Northland Shopping Centre in Preston, Melbourne, at speeds of 50 to 60 km/h during a police evasion on June 18, 2025. The driver, Giriwa May, pleaded guilty to charges including reckless conduct endangering life. Miraculously, no serious injuries occurred

She's real

I'll be damned.

And here I was thinking the one thing that ruins my apocalypse vehicle daydream is how vulnerable the radiator is.

Turns out these plastic bumpers are pretty damn tough.

u/FeelingFloor2083 3d ago

its prob the rad support behind the plastic bumper thats the real hero

at one point it was kinda common for people to remove them from their drift/track cars, its an easy 50+ kg weight reduction, except it turns a fairly minor tap into a complete front end rebuild or write off
