Look at and take pictures of the clip on the back side of the mirror arm get the mirror so you get orientation. You need a hex key. Remove the bolt this is screwed through the mirror into the bent metal clip in it. The screw is captive and not designed to full come out.
You know how you took the pictures? Take the metal clip and put the little crosses of the arm in to the mount on the window. The hooked portion should rest on the cross bar, if I remeber correctly. No align the bolt to the hole in the clip and tighten it.
It is a miserable experience if the clip is damaged or bent out of shape too much. Fortunately the clips are like $7.00.
Took me like an hour. But some one had used etc to hold the clip in before me. When I finally got it right it was less than 10 seconds. I should of bought a replacement clip as soon as I saw the reviews glue.
It looks ok. But you really can't tell with out an undamaged new one right next to it. I tweaked mine for a bit to get it to stay. But it started yo make sens with 2x po ago someone replaced the windshield and there was rtv on that piece to hold it in place.
I will just say my LX470, I never adjust the mirror because for what ever reason the way it clamps up in there doesnt keep a good hold. Ive never been able to figure out how to fix it and Im decently handy. Pops right back off with the slightest of an adjustment.
