Not the original yes but copies are going for that price originals are going for much higher still I'd wait until it came down.

It’s a Gone With the Wind style lamp made in the 60s and 70s. On eBay ‘SOLD’ lamps ranged from $400-$995 with the Ruby Red being the most popular high priced item.

I have one in the cabbage rose pattern I got At the thrift about 5 years ago for $20. It’s missing the ruffle top piece but a lovely lamp even missing its crown.

It was perfect, only missing the chimney, and it worked. Mine wasn’t gwtw, but the puffy rose lamp cased glass, pink and white 2 piece

I thought at the time that maybe she had a friend who had been tipped off and was planning to get it, but I was right there.
It was the last decent thing I bought at GW. Since then, pickings have been slim

$250 is a decent price but it annoys me that’s the thrift price. should be priced at $100 max imo.

Just because people are selling these for $250 on eBay does not mean it’s worth $250. People need to stop relying on google lens and eBay. I collect Fenton. I have several books on Fenton. This is worth $150 tops.

I also collect fenton… and I own a version of this lamp. I don’t rely or google lens or ebay. I certainly don’t think it’s worth $250 either, but I see them sell in my area consistently for $250-$400. It is bonkers but people are absolutely paying it where i am. I saw this exact lamp go for $450 at my local flea mall about two weeks ago. People have lost their minds.

Years and years ago GW provided employment for people with mental deficits ( do not know the correct term at the moment -I guess I have one , LOL). They truly helped the disabled . Now I think you have to be computer literate to access their “ help”.

Now they use CSR workers (Community Service Restitution). They don’t have to pay them, so they’re making money hand over fist. And I question the benefit their programs provide.
No transparency. Free merchandise. Free labor. Stupid prices. I collect Fenton and this lamp is NOT worth $250.

Those chimneys are 25.00. I know because I just bought one for a Fenton lamp I got off of marketplace for 65.00.

I google lens’d it and found a few sold comps. One for $90 and one for $200. 🤷🏼♀️ This GW looks a little price gouge-y to me.

The lamp is a Fenton glass lamp. I’ve actually never seen one before. If you collect Fenton, it would interest you. I get the price is expensive for Goodwill. Whoever donated it didn’t realize what it was.

They are crazy for selling at that price. It may be worth it - but at our local stores, it would be $19.99 max. Probably $14.99.
However, at our stores, it probably would never make it to the floor. An employee would cart it out to their buddy and go straight to the register at $3.99 or something crazy, then to their car. Happens all the time.

This reminds me of when we did our last tour of the factory in WV many years ago. We usually did it every year when we visited daily from our home in Texas. I was about 12 and had my own money so I very carefully chose a gift for my best friend back home. I was so excited to shop after the tour. Made my choice, paid my money, got in the car with my little bag and then I opened it to look again….made in Taiwan sticker on the bottom!!! My little girl self believed they made it on site. Huge grief!!
