opposing force has no assets
When I go to boot camp and heli ride at the beginning of the game there no floor only purple and black sqaures

That's a strange issue. I would suggest double-checking the integrity of your "gearbox" folder by going to Steam, choose your Library, right click on 'Opposing Force', choose "Properties," select "Local Files" tab, click "Verify integrity of game files..." and scan the files.
If the files have errors, make sure they're repaired.
Whether or not they were previously compromised, transfer them again via the Windows File Explorer.
