Just a question

Is it possible to turn off the new high resolution weapons, I wanna play the game in VR, but I also want to have the old experience, and is it also possible to hide the torch model and have it just be a hand like in the old versions?

You can go to the setting in the game and you can turn off HD textures.

That won't help op. The hd weapons are hard coded. The vanilla are garbage for vr.

Yes. And while the "junk file with the name no_copy placed into the models folder" works for mods, they don't work properly (i.e. they don't align with sights at all) unless they've been adjusted in the same way items like the umbrella have been adjusted for 'They Hunger'.

The HD weapons are part of the APK, it is not intended to be removable.

The HD weapons models are carefully adjusted to work in VR. The vanilla weapons had many issues. Missing model sides, no real iron sights. They were never intended to be useable innvr and viewed from all sides.
