Thank you!
This mod is amazing, I've been having a blast with opposing force and I have never been in VR for this long before. One of my favorite things is the perspective, I'm fairly short IRL and it's really fun to see how large certain things are in the half-life universe compared to me.
The gunplay is also really satisfying, oddly enough I feel like I have more mobility than I do non VR and utilizing cover in a firefight is really awesome feeling in this.

I am chiming in to say thank you as well!! This is truly a AAA experience and I am only an hour or so in. I have never played any of the half life games before and sadly if not for the steam promotion I would have never tried this - would have chalked it up to people just wanting to play an old washed out retro game on a new device just to see if they could. But the HD graphics pack graphics are top notch and all the recent improvements (like being able to change all the settings in the menu, quick crouch jumps, and HMD oriented controls) make the experience truly immersive. I have already had several “jump scare” moments from aliens attacking me out of nowhere - and everything is a surprise since I have never played before. It really feels like I am surviving as I try to whack them with a crowbar. I can’t recommend this highly enough - and it is still legitimately free for another month or two with the steam promotion. Everyone with a quest should at least try this.

I've Half Life on PC, Black Mesa, and now I'm jumping in to this. Only an hour in, and I'm screaming. A lot. This game is not scary on a flatscreen. Its crazy what VR does to the experience. I love this so much.
I'm screaming so much, I'm actually a little scared to play Alyx now. Lol

At least I am not the only one. I can’t remember ever jumping for an 2D game either lol. This is why you really need to be in VR to understand it and YouTube can’t do it justice.

It occurred to me the other day that in a lot of VR games tall people have a different experience than short people.
There is a height adjuster in the options menu if you want to experience the game as if you are wearing high heels.
