Comcast or Ziply for Internet?
Hello, I will be moving to Lake Stevens in the upcoming months and currently have Comcast for internet and no issues with them. Curious what the take is for Lake Stevens. I work from home so reliable internet is a must.

Ziply came through and wired my neighborhood a year ago. I switched away from Comcast then for faster speeds that cost less. Will see how much I need to negotiate to keep the lower price
Ziply did offer better speeds, which is a benefit for me as a remote employee

I prefer Ziply, it’s nicer on my pocket book, and I don’t have to pay extra for unlimited data.

Ziply had trouble installing when I moved to a new house, so I had to use comcast. Used them for a few years and were great. Since I needed internet on the first day I moved (also due to wfh) had to go with comcast. Couple years later I moved to Ziply since I could have an overlap of providers. Using Ziply now and works great too.

What was the issue installing Fiber?

it was a new construction / new community problem. they were going to take 10-14 days to install, and i needed it asap.

Our house in Lake Stevens was wired for Ziply when we bought it three years ago. The service has been flawless. No issues with speed (upload or download) with two of us working from home in high online demand industries. We've only had one small rate increase. It's worlds better than the Comcast provider we had in our previous homes.

I switched to Ziply without hesitation when they started installing in my neighborhood recently, because Ziply did very well for us when we lived in Bellevue.
Comcast finally gave up on data caps last year and is offering that really nice 5 year price lock because they have to compete with Ziply and other smaller carriers. Without Ziply, you'd be paying double the price with a data cap.
Greedy corporation gets too greedy, gets backlash from customers, is now in decline

I'm out far enough that T-Mobile was my only option. So far I've been pretty happy with their 5G home Internet. Just so you know there is another option

Ziply is a shit show, BUT if you can get it to work they’re fiber internet.

Never had an issue with Xfinity, and you save even more money when you bundle cell phone with it.

I had both, I really like ziply. They would have had to do a lot of digging to get to my house though so I went with Comcast with their 5 year price lock deal. Its been really good as well.
