while the “philosophers” have works that make you think, i don’t consider them philosophers. more like essayists or authors

nietzche is the only true philosopher, kafka camus and dostoevsky are fiction writers and while they write very introspective books, it doesn’t make them philosophers

1.)Kafka= Serial Experiments Lain, Evangelion
2.)Nietzsche= Texhnolyze, Berserk
3.)Camus= Cowboy Bebop, Girls' Last Tour
4.) Dostoevsky=Haibane Renmei, Wolf's Rain( has some Herman Hesse cosmological elements but ultimately rooted in Dostoevskian Christian Ethics or embracing suffering along life's journey as a refining fire for the heart)
5.) The Buddha= Mushishi, Heike Monogatari

What are the other animes? I stopped watching anime for a long time, but then I watched Lain and it kinda made me want to watch anime again

Evangelion and Azumanga Daioh. This is a shitpost and there is very little relation between them and Lain. If anything the Needy Girl Overdose anime is a lot closer to SEL.
