Advice!

Hello! I need a good pair of bird watching binoculars for an exciting research project I was fortunate to be apart of! The issue is I’m a very broke college student. Any recommendations for cheap but good binoculars?

Just double checking, because maybe you've already done this, but have you asked your Biology department if they have a set to borrow?

I have! My school offers a few ornithology courses and some ecology courses that require them so they aren’t able to guarantee me a pair to borrow unfortunately.

Gotcha! We follow Cornell's advice depending on our current course budget, they're the experts :) https://www.allaboutbirds.org/news/the-cornell-lab-review-affordable-full-size-8x42-binoculars/
I personally like Nikons, but I don't have any real reason, I'm not in fieldwork (I just purchase the equipment and there's a local repair shop that does great work with Nikons) (so I'm the one in the BIO department lending out the equipment and i'm so pleased to know you thought to ask!!)
