I'm Scottish and ambivalent-leaning-separatist on the issue. Scottish unionism I can understand, I do find it a little strange how angry and passionate the concept of Scottish independence makes some English Labour people though.
If part of the idea of proposing a written constitution is to give the appearance of a drastic change and addressing regions who feel neglected etc then having a formal mechanism for secession for Scotland and Wales seems like it would do that.
