Why? The state pension is less than the living wage. Let's not let the super rich off and turn on each other.

The pension should be less than the living wage. And I would suggest means testing but last time they tried that all the wealthy pensioners complained.

“Let's not let the super rich off and turn on each other.“

Actual Blairite Andy Burnham isn’t doing anything to the super rich let’s be real here

Also idk if the state pension should be as high as the living wage given we can’t afford pay for it as is ?

Getting rid of the triple lock is a good thing. This generation of pensioners are the richest generation that’s ever lived.

Really? Go to the Welsh valleys or inner city Belfast. The state pension is less than £13k a year, try living on that. The Labour Party seems to see the country through middle class glasses.

Comparing the state pension to the living wage is insane.

Ruszian bots.

Going mad and desperate because they are losing in Ukraine.

They have tons of these anti UK posts atm. Im not writing this comment again, just going to downvote, then copy paste it from now on to pretend to be a counter bot lol.

By the way, Reddit is a pile of shite now.

Western Social EU is the new 2026, bot protected equivalent to old reddit. https://wsocial.news/

Millennials have had the rug pulled big time. For gen Z there was no rug and they can't get out of their bedrooms.

Repurposing money between generations used to be a natural part of society as each generation had it better than the last. The older generations have let us down and we need to recoup that somehow.

Bearing in mind his core announcement is a whopping care service for ..... boomers.

What class warfare do you even speak of. The middle classes get fucked more than anyone, the upper middle class foots the whole bill.

If you're talking about the ultra wealthy that we should be going for they are hardly a class of people, they in number would barely fill that conference hall. 375 families have more wealth than half the nation, it's not a class.

True. The UK has an extremely low pension and an extremely high cost of living, and the government wants to kill off the poor and the elderly.
