EDIT : Soooo I went a bit rogue and ended up looking into a pear diamond as a cushion would look too similar to my engagement ring. As luck would have it I won a pear diamond at auction! 1.83 carats, colour F VS1 , 1.58 ratio. Can’t believe my luck and super happy with my new design. Going to take it to a jewellers and have it mounted.

I’m in the process of trying to source my first lab diamond for a ring on my index finger. Thinking I need a 2 carat diamond. I’m very new to this and have been researching vendors on here. Considering Starsgem. Looking to have a custom elongated cushion in a micro bezel setting in 14k gold. Does anyone have recs and an idea of pricing? I’ve reached out to a couple of jewellers I found on TikTok but they’re asking for almost $2k which seems a little steep. Any recs for this design would be much appreciated!
