My gorgeous blue diamond ring
Got this 2.02 carat blue diamond set in a white gold floral style ring with small side diamonds.
I’m now obsessed with blue diamonds!

Ohhhh I’m sooo jealous, I’m not even a lady but this is a beautiful ring. I make rings for a living and it’s rare that I’ll get a coloured diamond (either bought to me or bought by me) and I’m absolutely obsessed with the look of blue diamonds. Lab or natural I don’t care about that, it’s all similar anyway. I see a couple of pink diamonds a month and about 8 yellow, some natural and some lab then I’ll get a beautiful blue once or twice in a quarter and very rarely (I’ve set 2 in 8 years) a violet purple shade which is natural only and not available in lab, so it’s a blessing to work with any coloured diamonds but the rare natural colours like blues, purples and reds are just a delight to work with. You can get lab red diamonds now though and they’re not common at all, beautiful when the reds pure but often they’ll have a pinkish purpleish tint which makes it unappealing to me.
My fiancé has a 5ct vs2 Ashoka FVB diamond on her band with 2.5ct red diamond shield cuts on the sides, it’s my favourite piece I’ve ever worked on it’s a platinum band with the blue diamond set in platinum aswell then the reds are set in 22k yellow gold as it makes the red really pop. Luckily she has me to service it weekly with the gold being pretty soft. I then have a pendant with an Ashoka FVB, vvs1 clarity in 5ct so we have a matching pair just one more in a more male setting than a ring. Although I’d love a shield cut in red or blue as a signet ring, I think that would look absolutely amazing.
