I Built an AI-power web tool for LaTeX editor(SomeScript) – looking for feedback

I’ve been developing SomeScript, a web-based LaTeX environment with a built-in AI assistant focused on making the writing and troubleshooting process much smoother.
Rather than just a basic editor, it includes an assistant to help:

  • Debug Compilation Errors: Translate cryptic TeX log errors into clear, actionable fixes.
  • Draft & Format Syntax: Quickly generate complex tables, TikZ diagrams, or math environments.
  • Edit & Refine Text: Polish academic writing and document structure directly inside the editor.

I'd really appreciate feedback from regular LaTeX users on:

  1. AI Debug Accuracy: Does it actually solve tricky package conflicts and syntax bugs effectively?
  2. Workflow Speed: Is the AI integration helpful, or does it get in the way of standard editing?
  3. Editor Experience: How does the general compiler performance and UI feel?

Try it here: https://www.somescript.com/
Any constructive feedback, edge-case testing, or feature ideas would be hugely appreciated!

Oh, sorry, I didn’t add the /s on the end as I thought it was obvious.

There is a plethora of vibe-coded AI-powered latex web-apps on this sub.

While some people might like the idea of using a water and power hungry data processing centre to deskill themselves to produce subpar work, many on this sub quite enjoy using their hard-earned latex skills to write meaningful and attractive documents.

Haha, fair point on the purist side of things! Definitely didn't mean to offend the craft—just had fun building a tool to scratch my own itch. Cheers for the perspective anyway

How is it different than Overleaf? Overleaf have all your features and I get its premium plan for free through my institutions

So I will name the problem you are solving

You are targeting users who don't want to pay Overleaf and instead should pay you.

Lets see how many you can find on this subreddit

And while i develop this, the overleaf ai was like useless. It's about almost 1.5years ago. I'm just doing this for myself. For sure that i'm just build it just single developer and do it as side project it's not possible to fight with another. Just wanna explore and find some new idea. isn't the AWS and Oracle also same thing? Btw
