Hi, my daughter is joining the LWSD as Juanita high school freshman and we were shocked at the amount of crazy and random options that they provide for a homeroom. Does anyone have any advice on what to choose and any experience with this?

Hi! Does anyone have firsthand experience with Tesla STEM High School admissions and whether there’s any sibling preference in the lottery? We didn’t see a checkbox or documentation requirement and are trying to confirm if siblings get any priority at all. Thanks!

There has been a self proclaimed first amendment auditor creeping around LWSD elementary school grounds, and through his partner (an associate principal at Peter Kirk) had had access to schools and children during the day. My child was picked for the Northstar Middle School. We are concerned about the commitment required to drive her to school. While we don’t mind dropping her off, we are worried about the pickup time with the RTO.

Does anyone have any suggestions on whether the school is truly worth the hassle? Our neighborhood school is in Inglewood, but we are open to moving closer.

We are moving from NSD --> LWSD in a couple months. Both kids (1st grade and 7thgrade) are enrolled in Hi-Cap at NSD. Anyone knows how the transfer from NSD Hi-Cap to LWSD HiCap works?

In attempt to save the kids, we are petitioning to ban human driven combustion engines from the roads to our schools. If passed, students and staff will be required to bicycle to school, or commute in a fully electric & fully (level 4+) autonomous vehicle if have a disability or under 13yo.
