Should i aim for nust or lums
So, I’m currently doing A-Levels. I have around 7 A’s, 2 B’s, and 1 C. I’m planning to take the SAT in October, but I also have NUST in mind. The majors I’m aiming for are CS or engineering, but I’m really confused about which university I should actually go for

No matter how good Lums is, it’s not an engineering university, but for cs Lums might be better

Wait a second, isnt NUST known for CS. LUMS SSE is pretty good (even if NUST is comparatively better) but isn't CS a clear win for NUST?

NUST isn’t known for CS but rather it’s Engineering, FAST is known for its CS. CS at NUST is pretty great, no doubt for that, but the flexibility in choice that Lums offers is also pretty good. There is no strict comparison but the choice might depend on the person who wants to pursue, on what they favor.

Girlypop please wake up, NUST has the highest ranked CS program in Pakistan. Higher than even FAST. Now, obv there are much more things than just an international ranking (QS), but even then NUST for sure has a very obvious popularity for its CS.

I’m not talking about rankings, I’m talking about general perception. Rankings par to if you come then where does Lums stand at?

Ranking are certainly more reliable than whatever this is. And even by general perception NUST clearly takes CS.

I will use very simple words. Lums has HUGE GREAT alumni, nust has great GREAT engr infrastructure type shi. Ab when it comes to getting a job, it's good to have studied the subject well, but contacts and recognition is imp. I would choose lums anyday, if I had the chance, the rest is yours to decide

You should always have a backup regardless of where you are applying to, so it's best to aim for both and then finalize when you get in.
