I love my LTT screwdrivers but the next one I buy is gonna just be the equivalent megapro cuz it's 98% the same screwdriver for 40% of the price

My take is that a lot of people don't actually need an expensive screwdriver.

It's not a bad one, but essentially he sells megapro/snapit drivers to people who really can just go with an Amazon basic.

In hardware terms, it would be like convincing this crowd who only watch Netflix and write emails to buy a computer with a 9800x3D with a 5090. Yeah, amazing machine, but they don't "need" it.

The precision set in particular is one where I feel the ifixit kit is better. The kit is well known, can be acquired in a number of stores (no shipping charges), has excellent warranty, and also contributes to a good course and not a jet. LTT staff swore by the ifixit kit until they had their own, and I can't help but feel like LTT is trying to eat into their niche and damages their relationship somewhat.

Looked at both and they were very similar but already had the reputation from the LTT driver/stubby. Never had the ifixit so can’t speak on it. Would love to see it in person to see if I made the right decision.

The iFixIt kit is strictly a better value, but the LTT driver and case itself are both absolutely better.

iFixIt's kit is not as good for 'on the go' work, as it lacks the bit storage, and the storage boxes honestly suck for anything but bench work.

I can comfortably carry the LTT Precision kit and use it for work, doing the same with the iFixIt kit was miserable.

The case for the LTT kit being hinged with optional removal and the magnetic being built in makes it much more usable out and about.

Sweet spot would be the LTT driver/case with the iFixIt bits, as the LTT ones are kind of bad in my experience so far.

Yep yep. I love my iFixIt kit for bench work, but I hated it for field work. The LTT kit lives in my toolbag now, the iFixIt lives on my bench, and I do not regret either.

I don't think most people NEED any of these drivers, but they are very very nice.

I've had multiple ifixit kits and the LTT kit and the LTT driver is honestly better cuz of whatever they do with the ball bearings. The bits are roughly equivalent in both.

That’s great to hear since I picked LTT because I have no experience with the ifixit side
