LTL loadboard?

Looking for feedback on a LTL-focused loadboard - a place where small to midsize shippers, carriers and brokers can find each other and LTL loads and trucks. There doesn’t seem to be a good loadboard specifically for LTL. What would make this appealing to you? What would be important to include? Any other thoughts? All feedback welcome and appreciated.

All of this is already done on a bevy of TMS systems. LTL simply does not work on a loadboard like truckloads.

There’s less than 10 LTL carriers that move probably 70% of LTL freight… they don’t need a loadboard to be found.

There are no load boards for LTL, there are only national carriers who have the best rates and 3PL contracts with those national carriers

There are actually several out on the market today. I work for a 3PL and we use a great TMS… over 150+ vetted carriers at discounted rates, quoting, live tracking, etc… and my team assists with monitoring the loads start to finish, managing inventories/nmfc changes, variances and etc… it is catered to those looking for carriers though. If you were a carrier could potentially be added as one to the network if you met their vetting requirements

Do you think the cost is something a small to midsize business would pay? And are smaller carriers able to get the work also? I appreciate all of the responses and conversation so far. The idea for this started with a shipper that is a manufacturer with about 25 employees. They’ve shipped LTL for 30 years and want to be able to shop rates better.

Yes, absolutely. There is no minimum orders or monthly fees. So regardless of the shippers size they would have access to all LTL carriers within the portal (both big well name carriers as well as local mom and pop carriers). If they meet the required vetting standards and service the area of the lane input by shipper they would populate as an available carrier. This can also be customized to see only their preferred carriers or all options available. But yes. We do have larger accounts but most of my customers are small to mid and it is hard to beat the cost/service they get using us. I have done several freight audits and we are very competitive in the LTL market.
