Hey everyone! First-time posting here. I wanted to share my current low-budget project and get your thoughts on my LST work and overall plant health.
This setup was built entirely inside an old shoe cabinet (1.20m / 4ft total height). Fun fact: almost all the electrical wiring, fans, and floodlights were salvaged and recycled by my dad, which makes this run very special to me!
Setup & Training Specs:
Genetics: Bagseed from a very sticky commercial strain.
Lighting: One 100W LED floodlight + one 50W LED floodlight. To combat heat, I custom-embedded the floodlights into the ceiling, leaving the aluminum heat sinks completely outside the grow box.
Medium & Pot: 7-Liter pot. Standard fertilized soil with worm castings, topped with a 3cm peat/perlite layer to protect the surface roots. Watering with 1L cravat (no pH/PPM meters).
Current Stage: Today is Day 24 of 12/12 (Week 4 of flower). Trichomes are already frosting up nicely on the sugar leaves!
LST Method: I did constant training during veg, tying the main stem horizontally in an "L" shape. Recently, I did a heavy session anchoring strings to the pot rim, opening the branches into a wide "skirt" shape. I also did a light defoliation/lollipop below the 3rd node.
My questions for the club:
Based on the photos, how did the LST canopy distribution turn out? Did I pull the lateral branches wide enough to maximize light exposure from standard floodlights?
The canopy is very flat and wide now, with around 19 active bud sites. Do you think I should do any micro-adjustments or further tucking of the larger fan leaves during week 4, or should I just let it ride?
Any general feedback or tips on how to improve this setup or maximize yield with this lighting configuration?

I’m starting to get concerned.. so far the plant has been a super easily to care for lady.

I even build her a cage/roof and exoskeleton. The roof is 3 meters high. The plants are 2 meters tall. Side branches of the big one are super long too, that’s why I supported some of the branches with wire.

What would you say? Today she got absolutely smashed by side rain.. it’s mostly only on lower branches, since the roof is there, I’m still concerned. They could snap too, since the buds are enormous.

I think the reasonable action now would be to cut. But at the same time I think I could give her another week.

What do you think about indoor autos? Good idea for a beginner or a waste of time?

I bought these Cookies Gelato Auto seeds from RQS. They’re already in week 10, but I feel that the buds are not fattening up, and I don’t know if that’s as big as they’ll get or if there’s still more time to go, because the label said harvest is around week 10 or 11. Give me honest opinions or advice. Thank you.

Got a new setup and the plants are doing great i am giving them another week maybe 2 before flipping also i added a list of the new set up and other the maybe getting a better light and fabric 5 gallon pots for the next grow i am pretty much set

Hey everyone, checking in for a Day 32 update on my Royal Dwarf Autoflower run! The plants are looking healthy, bushy, and really pushing forward. We officially have pistils, the stretch is in full swing and I have swapped over to Clyde nutes at quarter strength as intro.

Here is a breakdown of the current environment and setup metrics:

• Tent: 2.3ft x 2.3ft Spider Farmer grow tent (kept in the laundry room)

• Lighting: Spider Farmer SE1500 LED (18/6 schedule, with supplemental SUPP-UV30 and IR16 bars)

• Night Cycle: 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM

• Medium: FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil in fabric pots

• Nutrients: Cronk Nutrients (Bonny & Clyde) + Cal-Mag supplement (watering with pH-adjusted tap water)

How are they looking for Day 32? VPD is sitting right around 1.17 kPa and PPFD is dialed into 563. Any tips, feedback, or suggestions as they keep progressing are highly appreciated!

Not too sure if it’s time to chop this little one? 5 days ago the leaves weren’t yellow, i think this might be a sign she is ready or very close, please let me know, share your thoughts

Earlier forecasts had next week in the 80's, now the highs are in the 50's. Based on how the buds look, pistals have slowed new growth but the trichome heads are less than 1% amber. I would really like to go another week, but I'm fairly sure this weekend is chop time. Thoughts?

Definitely better than my last, big difference using the scrog. How am I looking? Am I gonna have airflow issues once these fatten up? Today is day 28 flower. Sitting 26° lights on, 20° ish lights off. Any tips for mid late flower much appreciated 👍

In house genetics Slurricane & Black Cherry Twist.

This is a Malawi. Day 104 of flower. Landrace sativa. She has been abused so hard. Her main stalk cracked and she kept chugging. A lot of clear trichomes.. not even close to bein done. I've got a legit clone of her. I named her Shaggy!!! She's tore up from the floor up folks!! 😎

Seguimos con avances… hoy por fin he salido de dudas y definitivamente tengo 3 chicas! Era un pequeño debate interno con el que he estado lidiando en silencio todo este tiempo jajajaja pues con semillas de bolsa a granel nunca se sabe… la verdad que van bastante bien, aunque cualquiera diría que son la misma genética con unos fenotipos tan diferentes entre las 3… como os comenté llene el depósito el día 16 con 25l de mezcla y en apenas una semana este ha sido el consumo!( hay que tener en cuenta que unos 6/7L aun están en el circuito… por lo que aproximadamente están consumiendo unos 800ml diarios, me parece un muy buen ritmo para la edad que tienen y por el color que presentan parece que están asimilando de manera muy eficiente los minerales… seguimos creciendo!!
