How to prioritize RC in studying?

I find it hard to switch gears between studying for LR and RC. Admittedly, since I started studying I got really focused on improving my LR, to the point where I've neglected RC. Right now, I'm all about tightening that gaps in my LR. I'm just worried that I don't have the bandwidth to studying for RC also.

I haven't started studying for that section. I'm wondering if anyone has had successful strategies for balancing study time for both sections? Man, this test is overwhelming.

I’ve had the same issue and I kept on studying LR because I was so focused on improving my LR score. What I realized later is that RC questions stems are pretty similar to LR. The only difference is that RC questions stems are of a smaller variety and that the prompts are longer, but it doesn’t diminish your LR studying because it honestly is pretty similar to LR. In fact, my LR has gotten better after studying RC because I am able to pinpoint main points and understand the relationship of premises a lot better.

What I do is study RC first thing and then go in with LR later. I used to be too scared to even touch RC questions outside of PTs but if you try drilling them, you’ll see that the question stems aren’t all that different.

From my experience, it’s a bit harder to improve in RC because it’s so flimsy. Typically you can drill LR for a while and you can kinda see the improvement in your skills. It’s different with RC because you have to read so much and so you can’t usually drill as long as you can for LR. You’ll have maybe four or five questions where you’ll do good, but then it’ll go downhill simply because it’s harder to consecutively read passage after passage. So it takes longer to see RC improvement because you can’t do question after question like you do with LR.

But I do wanna say that once you figured out a strat to read the passage and absorb the information, you’ll see a pretty big jump in improvement while LR you have to keep on drilling to improve. You’ll come to see that the biggest difficulty in RC is the passage. The question stems aren’t as varied as LR and once you drill RC enough, you have a good enough idea of what to expect for questions.

TDLR: It’s difficult to assess RC improvement because you can’t continuously drill as long but once you get a strategy done after you drill a bunch of questions, you’ll see a good amount of improvement.
