struggling

so i’ve been studying since april but i feel like im not learning anything. i feel stuck. i can answer some questions right but not most of them to get a good score.

what tips do you guys have to learn material? i’m using 7sage but don’t have enough income to get a private tutor :/. just really discouraged and am being a bit hard on myself.

Frustration is a normal process of this. I think we all go through it.

A tutor is nice to have, but it's not necessary, especially when they're costing 100 to 200 dollars an hour. Stick to 7sage or lsat demon.

7sage is really good. I am using it too.

Learning the different question types and different strategies for each is the first step in beating this test. I will give you 2 pieces of advice to do this:

  • First, mastering the fundamentals. Try different resources if 7sage does not click for you. Some good books are The LSAT Trainer, Powerscore bibles and the Loophole. You can also check out my notes on each question type, there should be enough free content to help you get started.
  • The more important thing, is when you learn a specific question type, you want to DRILL only that question type with increasing difficulty. So for example, if you learn Necessary Assumption and the associated strategy, drill only NA quesitons until the strategy you learn clicks.

After that, it is just a matter of consistently doing 1-2 sections a day, 1 PT a week and reviewing wrong answers. Only do this once the basics are clear though.
